Elkie was Very Happy after Finding What Santa Left Her!!!!

Well, we had a wonderful Christmas and Elkie was really excited to find a water slide from Santa on the lawn in the morning!!!! I think he shopped smart at the sales a few months ago!!!!

Lots of fun, good food and chatter was had by all! Everyone admired my Christmas swap Bunny Paulius from Ina and adored Elkies surprise bunny Saulele!!!

There is nothing so exciting as watching a child run out to see what Santa had left on the lawn other than being that child!!! I hope you all had a fabulous childlike chrissy!!

And now on to another new year full of surprises..........:)  Hope it is a good one for everyone....

A Special Parcel Arrived Today!!!

My hubby rang to say he had a parcel from Ina of 'Bears and Roses ' for Elkie!!!!

I had to wait all day to see what was in the box.....Elkie was soooo excited just to get a parcel and then when she opened it she was so very very happy and just loved the bunny 'Saulele' that Ina made for her as a present!!! I too got a surprise to find a beautiful handmade brooch and Chocolate!!

It was Elkie's last day at Kindy and they had a fabulous last week....a ride on a Harley motorbike, a bouncy castle and a visit from Santa Claus...then to top it off a wonderful present all the way from Lithuania!!!

Thank you so much Ina!!!! I too have something on the way for you and Polina!!!

Oooouuuu! I am thrilled to see a Lombard Bears Profile in the Dutch Magazine 'Poppen & Teddy- Beer'!

Thanks Nico for such a fabulous spread!!! I have a friend in Holland who I have asked to translate it for me ...but I LOVE the pics!!! A wonderful magazine with Teddies on one side and turn it over..voila..dolls tooo!!

Will post a translation if all goes well in that endeavour!

I just got back from mums and she had just opened her ABC magazine to see that my first ever felted face bear, 'Rhett', has won his section in the 2010 Australian Bear Creations Awards!!!!!

YIPPEEEEEE!!!!!

My Latest Creation And A Real Favourite!! Available Now!

Meet 'Sir Percival' my Forest Dwelling Show Clown! He is part of 'Lucinda's' traveling show who perform for all the pond and forest dwellers at all the fresh water ponds around the world (visit my website  to see their story!)

He is made from a glorious banana yellow tipped banana brown mohair and has hand stitched dark brown suede paws. His eyes are an amazing vibrant orange/gold and he has a sculpted needle felt face which I have hand shaded to create this fabulous character. He has my signature 9-way jointing system for lots of fun posing and is weighted to feel like a real critter!!!

I know I know I Know!!! This is not exactly keeping things tame ... but boy do I love creating these fabulous, 'over the top' creatures!!!!!! He is my favourite!!!! :):):)

My Fabulous Christmas Swap on TBACA with Ina Smirnova!!!!

This is my gorgeous bunny Paulius, a little angel bunny, that I recieved today from the lovely and amazing Ina Smirnova of Bears and Roses for a Christmas swap organised on the fabulous TBACA Teddy Bear site!!!!!

I am so thrilled!!!!  I love my bunny!!!! Gorgeous!! Ina also sent a tiny little bear brooch for my daughter Elkie who loved it and was so so excited!!!! And some chocccy!!!!! Just devine.....

Webster has been nominated in the 2010 Taiwan Teddy Bear Competition!!!!

Boy am I thrilled to have found out that Webster has been nominated in the 2010 Taiwan Teddy Bear Competition!!!!

Online voting begins on the 3rd of November! He will be on his way over to Taiwan  tomorrow ( thanks to his new owners) for the committee judging at the show!!!

BTC Charity Auction Bear!

Meet 'Madeline' my bear I am donating for the Bears That Care Charity Auction on the 12th of November in Melbourne, Australia!

I had fun making her and hope she finds a home and makes some money at auction!!

Madeline is 13 1/2 inches, made from a swirly caramel mohair with pulled leather paws and green glass eyes.

I have lots of new creations under way at the moment and everything will probably come together all at once so stay tuned!!

LIZA M and LUCINDA had a Ball at The Perth Teddy Show!!

I was really happy to find out that my entry into the pattern challenge, Kim Russells beautiful 'Murphy' pattern, won her section!!!! I am still getting a grip on the smaller size ( she is about 7 inches...small for me) so was Thrilled!!! Thanks to Kim and Jenni from the Teddy Tree in Perth for everything!!!!xx

The week started with Lucinda deciding that she was coming to Perth too!!!

I had been thinking it would be best if she stayed home as I was not sure I would have enough room for her but she was having none of that!!! While I was trying to keep the Chimps Possums and Bears under hand she nipped out and parked herself in the car and wouldn't budge!!! I gave up and off we went on our road trip to perth!!

Luckily for Lucinda I ended up with enough room for her to go to the show....and put on a show she sure did!!!

She had a wonderful time entertaining the crowds at the show....many huge smiles and wonderful positive comments came her way....she was in her element!!!! Lucinda thanks all the Perth teddy ladies for looking out for her and having a laugh....she had a ball!!!

You would think that after a busy day performing she would put her feet up and relax....no,no,no...Lucinda went on through the night entertaining her hosts with a tinkle on the grand piano and a song or two...

The rest of the crew were just happy to be out and about meeting lots of lovely people...a few found themselves a new home too!!!

On a more serious side....I was truely blown away by the wonderful comments I received about my work.......the smiles and laughter my guys managed to get out of people was just wonderful!!!!

Hopefully I will be back next year as I had a great time with the Perth ladies and learnt heaps...Thankyou girls!!!XXXXXXXXXXXXX
